PNG Transparency

Screenshots from Dillo 0.6.2 for Linux

These are half-scale JPEG screenshots of the pngs-img.html, png-IceAlpha.html, png-MagnoliaAlpha.html, and png-textures.html pages. They were taken by Greg using the 0.6.2 alpha version of Dillo on a Slackware (Linux) 7.1 system.

Dillo's rendering of PNG transparency is perfect, as far as it goes. But since version 0.6.2 of the browser does not yet support background images, it has not quite achieved the same level as Mozilla or Mac IE 5. It also lacks somewhat in various layout features (e.g., centering or right-margin alignment). It does do gamma correction, however (not shown here).
